Carolina’s yoga photo shoot / Blouberg Beach / Cape Town

Carolina lives in Tuscany, Italy and she was over in South Africa on business and a holiday.  She has been practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga diligently for a year and wanted some photos to record this huge part of her life.  We met up in Blouberg at 6am for a sunrise shoot.  “The Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga codified and popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois during the 20th century which is often promoted as a modern-day form of classical Indian yoga. Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, of which asana or physical yoga posture is merely one branch, breath or pranayama is another.  Regular practice of this type of yoga offers physical, emotional, mental and intellectual benefits.  Carolina is planning on starting a yoga retreat in Italy, so if you are wanting to get in touch with her about this, you can email her at: kitesurfing.tuscany@gmail.com (yes! that’s the correct email!)
