A Family Photoshoot at Groot Constantia

When this lovely family reached out to me from America, they knew they wanted to capture their time in Cape Town with a special family photoshoot.

Their choice came down to two iconic locations: the beach or the winelands. On the day, the breeze at Blouberg Beach was in full force, so we headed inland to the calm of Groot Constantia, the oldest wine farm in South Africa.

It couldn’t have been more perfect. The rows of vineyards stretched out in front of us, the light was soft and golden, and the atmosphere had that timeless beauty the Cape winelands are known for.

Their son brought so much energy to the session, running, laughing, and making sure we all stayed on our toes.

It was great fun to create some unscripted moments of then all. The laughter flowed easily, and what stood out most to me was the warmth and connection this family shared.

Photographing them at Groot Constantia felt like the perfect choice. It was relaxed, beautiful, and filled with moments that they’ll be able to look back on as a reminder of their trip to South Africa.

I’m not a wine-drinker, but I know that Groot Constantia has received numerous awards for their great wines and is highly rated worldwide!
