Triya’s Magazine-style Boudoir Shoot
TRIYA
Triya booked me for a boudoir session to celebrate stepping into her 40s. We’ve worked together before, so seeing her again felt easy and familiar.
She told me this shoot was a love letter to herself, and a way to honour this new chapter of life and capture how she feels right now.
I offer a range of portrait experiences, from Personal Branding shoots and professional Headshots to Women’s Magazine-Style portraits. Often, clients come to me wanting a beautiful portrait session just for themselves.
This might take the form of classic studio portraits, or it might lean into something more intimate, like a boudoir-inspired shoot.
For these, we’ll often book a light-filled Airbnb with elegant décor, giving the session a relaxed and lifestyle-based feel outside of the studio.
Some of the most striking images are often the simplest, like wearing an oversized shirt paired with understated jewellery, a soft jerset that slips off the shoulder, or favourite pieces of lingerie that feel feminine.
To prepare, I usually suggest a few small details that make a big difference. A manicure and pedicure, any beauty treatments you like to keep up with, and drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to the shoot so your skin feels hydrated and fresh.
The goal is about having this time to yourself to create an experience where you feel confident and comfortable.
Some clients book a portrait shoot and then add in a few boudoir images at the end, while others choose to combine professional headshots with something more personal.
It might be a way to celebrate a new chapter, mark a milestone birthday, or simply create a keepsake that feels like a love letter to yourself.
Whether it’s for you, for your partner, or just because, these sessions are about honouring who you are in this moment in time.
