Aletta, The 40 Over 40 Women’s Portrait Campaign

Aletta,  (on the verge of) 40

Aletta (nickname Letta) is going to be 40 in October this year! That’s a huge milestone!  Although the campaign is for women 40 and above, Aletta was invited by her sister Marinda to be in the shoot.

And it’s been absolutely amazing to celebrate all 3 sisters and see how they connected in my studio. I love all their striking tattoos and posed them to showcase their amazing body art.

Competing in the World Master Weightlifting competition in Barcelona. 2018 I represented South Africa and won Bronze in my weight division.

What advice would I give my 20-year-old self…

Enjoy the small moments more. Take all the time you need.

We all experience many lifetimes in this one life. What do you find are the most poignant changes up until now?

Never thought I would have an opportunity to go to Spain and be on an international stage lifting weights with fellow lifters from all over the world.

Those moments I wish I can freeze and capture every emotion.

We are all in it, time just becomes shorter with the people you love.
