Where are you from, and where do you currently live?
I’m from Germany, and currently live half in Germany and half in Cape Town!
If your friends were to describe you, what would they say?
Impulsive, ethical and open minded.
What is your favourite quote or saying?
“And one day, baby, we’ll be old. Oh baby, we’ll be old
And think of all the stories that are ours forever.”
What would you say you are most proud of?
Successfully raised four children and always worked.
And, that I was able to conquer my fear of flying and thus see the most beautiful places in the world.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t be afraid, take heart.
Whatever you want to achieve, you will succeed.
Is there a goal or dream you still wish to accomplish?
I am blissfully happy and very grateful for my life.
Exploring some more foreign countries – that would be nice.
And to always learn something new. That’s what I’m doing now as a pensioner.
At the moment I am working on artificial intelligence (AI).
What are your thoughts on ageing?
I don’t think about “getting older.” I will and I am happy about it.
What did you enjoy most about The 50 Over 50 Women’s Portrait Campaign?
And how did the experience leave you feeling?
I was happy that I could be there. The shoot with Monica is always especially great.
I love the team, Monica and Donna.
