This was Christiane’s second portrait session with me;  the first one was with her daughter, Isabella, as a 16th birthday gift.

It was wonderful to see Christiane again, and I’m looking forward to connecting with her and Isabella again when they are back in South Africa.

As a photographer who loves real, human connection…it’s my life mission to reflect the parts of my clients that they wouldn’t otherwise get to see or experience…back to them.

It’s so easy in today’s world, to take the photograph for granted, as so many of us have access to taking photographs…but there is truly so much magic in what can be captured.

When I’m fully tuned in to the person I’m photographing, I get to, in a split second, capture a glimpse into who they are, their soul…their confidence, mixed with vulnerability, playfulness, seriousness…all aspects
.
As a portrait photographer, I realize what a privilege it is to make these portraits of women. That they let me enter into their world, without even knowing me, and allow me to reflect all their unseen magic back to them.
