Where are you from, and where do you currently live?

In a lovely complex in Plattekloof, Cape Town

 

If your friends were to describe you, what would they say?

Loving, bright and serious.

What is your favourite quote or saying?

Eat chocolate: NOW

What would you say you are most proud of?

Raising 2 children into caring, responsible adults, with beautiful souls.

 

What advice would you give your younger self?

Care much less what others/ society thinks of you.

 

What is a goal or dream you still wish to accomplish?

Writing (done) and publishing a book (in the process).

Motorbike trips along the Garden Route in South Africa.

Travel to Scandinavia, particularly Norway.

Seeing the Swiss snow again.

 

What are your thoughts on ageing?

Amazing experience: Freeing in a way, but also scary.

Loss of income and independence.

Can’t wait for grandchildren.

I feel privileged to be grey and healthy at 66 years old.

 

What did you enjoy most about The 50 Over 50 Women’s Portrait Campaign? And how did the experience leave you feeling?

It was a day TOTALLY about me! Unbelievable.

The chance to be photographed while looking good.

I felt happy, proud, and more confident.
