Michelle & Gustaf’s Family Shoot / Karlstad / Sweden

Michelle’s Mom was over in Sweden for a holiday from South Africa, so it was a perfect time to do a family shoot with all of them together. This was also Michelle, and her husband Gustaf’s first family shoot, and I hope the first of many to come!

For those that have never had a shoot done before, it can feel a bit daunting the first time. And this is absolutely normal!  I always suggest wearing clothing that you feeling confident and comfortable in, and having a mindset of ‘I’m just going to have fun with this.’ I offer gentle direction of where to look, and then trust the interactions to unfold naturally.  Running, playing, hugging and laughing – all those wonderful expressions that make up the energy of life. I want them all captured so that parents can look back on the experience and  see how full their lives are. And that children can look back on their photos and see just how much they are loved.

Olivia and Alfred are entertaining, funny, intelligent and chatty children, and I laughed so much during their photo shoot listening to their stories. Another fun day ‘at work’ to look back on and remember fondly.
