Where are you from, and where do you currently live?

Originally from South Africa and now living in United Arab Emirates – Dubai

 

If your friends were to describe you, what would they say?

reliable, kind and resilient

“Belinde is the most wonderful person. She had helped me through “sick & sin”. She was always there for me no what time of night. She is the only one (besides my daughter) that will tell me to

pull myself together and I won’t take offence. I couldn’t wish for a better friend in my life. She is very special.”

 

What is your favourite quote or saying?

“Just do it”

 

What would you say you are most proud of?

Having built a successful business over 23 years, and then giving that up to explore other opportunities abroad at the age of almost 60.

 

What advice would you give your younger self?

Just do it. There is enough time for ‘take two’s’. Be present, completely, every single day.

 

What is a goal or dream you still wish to accomplish?

I would love to start a culinary travel blog, in other words, travel to any and every destination that I am able to, and learn about the language,

culture and cuisine, to share with hungry travel folk.

 

What are your thoughts on ageing?

I am really comfortable in my own skin. I like who I’ve become, so ageing is a privilege that not everyone has.

If this is the first time you are on my page, and not quite familiar with the campaign, let me give you a bit of background.

IN JULY 2021 I LAUNCHED “THE 40 OVER 40 WOMEN’S PORTRAIT CAMPAIGN EXPERIENCE”

Women travelled from England, the USA, Dubai, Sweden, Zimbabwe, and many parts of South Africa to participate in the experience. It was such a huge success, that I decided to launch another women’s portrait experience in late 2022.

This time around, I decided to run the campaign for  50 women, in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond, for an empowering, and transformational magazine-style portrait session, and I’ve called it

VISIBLE

“Redefining beauty in women 50+”

The first session commenced in December 2022, and the campaign will run for the most part of 2023. It will conclude with a special finale of a limited edition magazine, with a double-paged feature of you, and an exclusive invite-only event in Cape Town, South Africa.

So, if you want to be seen and celebrated in the most dynamic ‘post-50’ era of your life, then this is for you. The 50s and beyond are known to bring more happiness, freedom,
self-acceptance, and ‘vavavoom’! Many women feel like they’ve suddenly woken up to life, new possibilities, and adventures.
