Sara & Daniel’s Family Shoot / Gotland / Sweden

Sara Norrehed is a top wedding and portrait photographer based in Gotland, Sweden. Her work is gentle, soulful and whimsical…a true reflection of her beautiful nature. I met up with Sara, her partner Daniel and their 2 children for their family shoot around Visby Ringmur, a city wall around the city centre of Visby in Gotland. The vast openness,  mixed with the peaceful ambiance made the experience feel quite surreal.  Their children played alongside the castle walls, running up hills, and onto rocks. The iconic 11 metre high city wall is a heritage site, and the oldest part of the wall is a castle, called Kruttornet,dating back to the 1100’s.

I had taken a ferry from the Swedish mainland the day before, and it was my second trip to Gotland.   As a photographer, I get so do shoots in the most unique and memorable places. This was definitely one of them, and it left me on a high for several days.  Here are a few from our morning together, ending up outside their home…with a view that must be incredible to wake up to!
