Mel & Braam’s Lifestyle Family Shoot / Cape Town

This was my 4th photo shoot with Mel and Braam!  It’s always wonderful re-connecting with past clients and seeing how their children have changed and grown.  I started off their photo shoot at their lovely home in Melkbosstrand and photographed the boys doing what they love:  playing on the trampoline, climbing their tree and riding their bikes.  Incorporating something personal into a family lifestyle shoot is a special way to document a family shoot, in a natural and fun way.   I suggested a baking session in the kitchen…and the boys got as far as the flour and decided to decorate the counter and floor with it.  They had an absolute ball!  We headed off to the beach before sunset to do the last part of their shoot, where everyone had a good run around and splash in the ocean.  Table Mountain was the perfect backdrop, and there was a real feeling of summer in the air.
