Kedi & Alex’s family photoshoot / Muizenberg /Cape Town

I was really looking forward to doing this family shoot!  Kedi and Alex are previous clients of mine, and I photographed their wedding 10 years ago.  Alex emailed me all these years later to say that he and Kedi had grown their family, and now had four children!  When I met with them at Muizenberg beach, they looked exactly the same, and hadn’t aged one bit!  Their four adorable children, all completely different in personality, ran, jumped, skipped, played and danced on the beach (as did their parents!)  When we first arrived it was really misty, and then suddenly, like a stage curtain, it lifted.  Kedi and Alex are such wonderful parents.  When I was taking photos, I noticed how calm they both are, and how parenthood seems to just flow. I’m sure they have their days, however, seeing everyones energy together..it was very gentle and very loving.  No one got stressed, and the shoot was so much fun.  I only wish I had my Fitbit on to see how many steps I had taken running up and down the beach.  My job keeps me fit, and above all, it keeps me really happy. 16 years of shooting and I still love it more and more each day.
