Tanya’s Personal Branding + Glamour Photo Session

I met up with Tanya in Green Point, Cape Town, several days before her photo session to help her go through her wardrobe and select clothes and accessories for her shoot.  This was also a great time to chat and get an idea of what she had in mind for a shoot. And give us a chance to make a human connection.

This was her first photo shoot, so on the day of the shoot, she was feeling quite nervous and uncertain. All very normal feelings to have!  Delaney arrived to do hair and makeup, and once the 3 of us got chatting, it was like a women’s day out!  The energy shifted from nerves to excitement to laughter, as we ended up chatting about life, career, relationships. All the things that women love chatting about when together!

Tanya exudes the most beautiful energy, and confidence, and lights up when talking about her career.  She worked in pharmaceuticals for years and has almost completed her studies to be a relationship coach.  She is a natural at helping people communicate better in their relationships. In the hours we spent together, she gave us so much advice!

I did a mix of personal branding, and glamour portrait’s for Tanya.  Some to use on her new coaching website and social media platforms, as well as some beautiful, natural portraits for her to send to her Mom who lives in Australia.  We started off at Llandudno Beach, a short drive from my apartment, and even though it was quite late in the morning, we were so lucky to have cloud cover.

The result was soft beautiful light!

Back to my apartment for some studio shots, and then we ended off to Tanya’s apartment for the last few photos.

A new experience, like a photo shoot, can be daunting for most people.  So the key is to have a relaxed and easy conversation!  Trust that your photographer will know the best and most flattering poses for you.
