Tumi’s Contemporary Glamour Photo Shoot

Tumi was meant to celebrate her 40th birthday last year at her black-tie dinner, but covid changed all that!

So this year, she decided to treat herself to a contemporary glamour shoot and traveled down to Cape Town from the Northern Cape to have her photoshoot with me. It would be in celebration of her 41st birthday.  Working in procurement for Anglo American global mining, Tumi said it was lovely to dress up as she’s usually out working in boots!

Tumi arrived at my studio with so many glamourous outfits, the majority of them designed by top designer, Sandi Mazibuko. She is the founder and mastermind behind the clothing label,  Fabro Sanz.

And if you’re wondering how she managed to fit them all in, coming from the Northern Cape – she had a trailer attached to the car!
@delaneysiebertmakeup did her hair and makeup, and then the 3 of us ventured to Llandudno beach for the start of her shoot.

Tumi has never had a professional shoot done before, but she was so natural in front of the lens.

She has GRACE, STYLE, and ELEGANCE, and I told her, a sense of royalty.
The time flew by on the beach, and after 4 outfit changes, we headed back to my studio to do the last few outfits.

What a day! We were all on a high! We had some snacks and listened to Soul while Tumi graced my lens!

A week after her shoot, we met on zoom and I showed her a slideshow of her images. When the first image opened she gasped “Wow. Is that me?”

Following the slideshow, I showed Tumi her images in a gallery, where she got to select her favorites.  She ordered a faux leather album – something to treasure in years to come and to pass down to her children.
