Angie & Claire’s Intimate elopement / Tintswalo Atlantic Lodge/ Cape Town
“Maybe the only vow we ever need
to offer the one we love is this:
I will never, not for a sliver of a second,
make you feel alone.”
Tyler Knott Gregson
It was such a treat to meet finally meet Angie and Claire, after months of chatting online about their wedding elopement. And wonderful to be photographing just the two of them! Over the past year, I’ve been taking on more intimate, smaller weddings. It’s more calming, and I can focus more on the moments unfolding, rather than rushing to make sure that each of the 250 guests has been photographed. I’ve loved the bigger weddings in the past, the adrenaline, but I’m happy now for the change over to a select number of small weddings a year.
It was a balmy, sunny afternoon driving into Tintswalo Atlantic Lodge. Over the years I’ve met amazing service providers, so I was happy to see Jeanette Genis hairdresser, and Algria makeup artist. Their energy filled the room and everyone was feeling relaxed and ready for the day ahead. Linda Everitt performed the lovely service on the outside deck, with breathtaking views of the ocean and mountain, and Aspen Flowers & Co. put together a stunning bouquet, using a mix of flowers and a large gorgeous protea.
Thank you to Angie and Claire for being so warm, relaxed and wonderful. I loved every minute of the experience.
Side note: Tintswalo will re-open in October 2019, after a devastating fire in February. It’s been their second fire, but Tintswalo owners have been focussed on the rebuild and restoring it to it’s former glory.
Beautiful work, well done. I always love Tintswalo Atlantic…just phenomenal!
