Katya & Marcus’s Wedding | Grootbos Private Nature Reserve | South Africa
Katya and Marcus contacted me last year from Hamburg Germany as they had seen a wedding I’d photographed at Grootbos Private Nature Reserve a few years ago and loved the images. I always jump at the chance to shoot at Grootbos, as it’s one of the most beautiful and tranquil pieces of paradise in South Africa. It is nestled in a pristine wilderness of Milkwood trees, surrounded by mountains and moments from a breathtaking coastline of beaches. For those that visit South Africa, it is one place that simply has to be included in the itinerary.
They were joined by their close friends Christine and David, also from Germany. The lovely Lana, that works at Grootbos organised and coordinated everything, and organised 2 surfboards to use in the shoot, as Katya and Marcus love the ocean and surfing. The day was really peaceful, relaxed and special. Their intimate ceremony took place on the empty beach nearby and the view was spectacular. When we arrived back at Grootbos, they ran and jumped in the swimming pool in their wedding clothes! Dinner for 4 was served in the wine cellar which was beautifully lit with candles. The perfect day ending with an intimate dinner. Here are some images from the day.
What a dream! The two of you do not look nervous or worried at all – just happy. It is clear ….. you have done everything right! Congratulations!!!
Absolutely stunning Moni as always! You are incredible!
