Christiane & Markus’s Elopement / La Petite Dauphine / South Africa

A beautiful rainy day in Franschhoek….with the most gentle, soft light….and a couple…totally in love.

Christiane and Markus had their wedding at one of my favourite places in Franschhoek, La Petite Dauphine.   It offers a luxurious stay, and is surrounded by the most breathtaking Franschhoek Mountains, yet still manages to maintain a homely, South African feel.  Even the resident rooster, Hendrick fluffed his charming feathers and welcomed the couple.

It was just the 2 of them, myself and the minister.  There was something so real, and so so special about their elopement….the focus being on just the 2 of them…committing their lives to each other.  It was so quiet…the rain adding to the romantic, cozy setting.  Loved every moment of their beautiful wedding, and so happy to have met such a lovely couple.
