Estelle & Johann’s wedding / Babylonstoren |Franschhoek

I’ve had a wonderful season!  I’ve been privileged to meet incredibly lovely couples, and shoot at the most beautiful venues.  I love Franshchhoek, and season has had it, that most of my weddings have been in that area.  Franschhoek is like a world of it’s own…surrounded by mountains and green vineyards.  The backdrops have been breathtaking.  Estelle and Johann contacted me last year and we met at the Waterfront and chatted through their wedding day.  They decided on the spectacular, Babylonstoren, for their wedding, with it’s meticulously manicured fruit and vegetable gardens, and personal touch.  Their ceremony was held under a huge tree, and the weather was stunning!  It was a very emotional day, and many happy tears were shed at the ceremony and reception.

Estelle and Johann met many years ago at school, but didn’t date then. And then years about 20 years later, their paths crossed and they fell in love.  I had goosebumps when Johann was telling me their story while he was getting ready.
