Where are you from, and where do you currently live?

Straightforward, determined, enthusiastic

 

What is your favourite quote or saying?

What would you say you are most proud of?

Raising an amazing daughter; opening a homeopathic community clinic in rural Eastern Cape;
getting a black belt in karate at 45.

 

What advice would you give your younger self?

What you look like doesn’t matter nearly as much as you think it does.
The sooner you learn to give fewer f@cks about what others think of you, the sooner you set yourself free.
The only weight you have to lose is the opinion of your inner critic and the opinions of other people
that you carry.

 

What is a goal or dream you still wish to accomplish?

I’d like to help establish at least 10 Khula Natural Health Centres (community homeopathic centers)
throughout rural South Africa.

 

What are your thoughts on ageing?

If you’re prepared to truly get to know yourself, ageing is a time of vibrance, wisdom and stepping
into your power. It’s a privilege denied to many so I’m planning to make it the best time of my life!

 

What did you enjoy most about The 50 Over 50 Women’s Portrait Campaign? And how did the experience leave you feeling?

I loved the freedom to be me; the fun of being styled, and the connection to Monica, and I left feeling
confident, beautiful, and powerful.

 

I had another amazing day in my studio meeting and photographing Loretta. Every session I have, I learn something new, and my world is expanded.

It makes me think of one of my favourite quotes by Anais Nin:

‘Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.’
